Our people
Michael Amos Djohan, Associate, Mainstream Corporate
I graduated with Law degree from Universitas Indonesia in late 2020, and joined Widyawan & Partners in 2021 as a Legal Intern. As an intern, we are placed into different practice groups and seat rotation happens every six months. So far, I have had the opportunity to sit in the Corporate and Energy & Infrastructure practice groups. I have gained various substantive and soft-skills throughout the rotation.
The firm has a robust mentor-mentee system in place to help new joiners in adapting to the work and culture. In addition, there are multiple trainings, e-learning modules, and huge knowledge database to pull from, all of which has contributed to my development during the past year.
My work consists mainly of helping associates in preparing first draft documents and conducting legal research. I have seen progress in the types of work I handled, and have slowly taken more responsibilites in the practice.
Jakarta office is fully integrated with Linklaters and there are no difficulties in working with colleagues from other offices on various matters. Widyawan & Partners is a great firm to work for. The firm provides inclusive learning experience, both professionally and personally, and exciting things to work on a daily basis.
